🖌️ After years of being seen and experienced in the urban orchestra, the tape art artist Fuxundschalter is now presenting his works for the first time in a solo performance on 7 June 2024 at Denizen Artol in Düsseldorf! Works that he is presenting to a wider public for the first time will also be on display there. The exhibition will be shown until 14 July 2024.

🔊The artist will be on site for the vernissage on 7 June from 6 p.m. and will be presenting some of his favorite vinyl gems from his mobile record player. He will also be happy to give a guided tour of the exhibition and answer any other questions you may have!

About the artist - Fuxundschalter 

The Fux and his light switch are always on a great journey of discovery - sometimes through the whole world.

The Fux observes, analyses and comments on his surroundings, sometimes pressing his light switch to change unpopular areas into better, more interesting ones.

The Fux, who lives in Düsseldorf, has been exploring the abstraction of geometric shapes for years, transferring them onto concrete, canvas and wooden walls and other smooth surfaces with adhesive tape. His tape art illustrations are always in tension with the immediate environment and are at the same time a laboratory for creative experiments in (non-)public space. When the Fux leaves his Fuxbau, he also works with young people and inspires new perspectives on materiality and form in workshops and cultural education programmes.

With great dedication and attention to detail, the Fux creates free works with adhesive tape in abstract form, sometimes bold colours and lots of poetry. He draws inspiration from the urban fabric of city life. He is also always open and keen to experiment, as artistic research with new materials and content is more of an incentive in his development. Whether as a large format on the façade, a permanent room installation or as a work on plastic panels of different sizes - Fux comments on his surroundings by placing himself and/or his switch in the corresponding environment.
